Operating a Leisurecraft wood-fired hot tub is straightforward, but mastering the perfect temperature does take a bit of practice. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started:

 

  1. Gather Your Supplies:
    Matches or a lighter Kindling
    Kindling, Larger pieces of dry wood and paper
    Water source and hose

 

2. Filling the Hot Tub:
 Using a hose, fill your hot tub with water. If you are at an off-grid location, consider using a natural water source such as a lake, stream, or pond. This way, you can pump the water into the tub and later reuse it for gardening or drain it back to its original source, provided no chemicals were used.

 

3. Safety First:
 Always fill the tub with water before lighting the fire. Igniting the heater without water can cause the firebox to combust, leading to property damage, bodily injury, and damage to the hot tub and heater.

 

4. Building the Fire:
Once the tub is full, build a fire in the firebox. Start by placing crumpled paper at the bottom, add kindling on top, and then place small dry logs. Light the paper and leave the lid open to allow for airflow. A good draft will help establish the fire.
 Once the fire is established, add larger pieces of firewood. Control the intensity of the fire using the lid, which acts as a damper to regulate air intake.

 

5. Heating the Water:
 Keep an eye on the water temperature. Once it’s approximately 10 degrees below your desired bathing range (typically 101–104°F), stop adding wood to the fire. Cover the firebox to allow the water to heat up gradually and naturally.

If the water becomes too hot, simply add cold water using a hose and stir gently with a paddle to evenly distribute the temperature.

 

6. Maintaining the Temperature:
 Keep the fire going to maintain the desired temperature. LeisureCraft hot tubs are designed for superior heat retention and will maintain their temperature throughout the day with minimal wood. They typically drop just 5-10 degrees overnight.
Use a cover to reduce heat loss when the tub is not in use. In the morning, add a log while you enjoy your coffee, and your hot tub will be back to the perfect temperature by the time you finish breakfast.

  4. Canadian Timber Collection Products: Dealers have 24 hours to cancel the order for a $65.00 cancellation fee (Item #: ORDCAN). After 24 hours, cancellations are not accepted.

Order Change Policy:

  1. Up to 14 Days from Order Entry: Orders can be edited/changed without penalty.
  2. After 14 Days: A $65.00 edit/change fee will apply (Item #: ORDCHA). Examples of changes include adding/removing products, updating shipping addresses, or changing the shipping method.

  • Shipping Coordination: Dundalk LeisureCraft will arrange for your sauna to be shipped to your home.

Trucking Company Responsibilities

  1. Delivery Appointment: The trucking company will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment.
  2. Delivery to Driveway or Curbside:
    • The sauna will be delivered to the end of your driveway or curbside.
    • Note: The trucking company is not responsible for unloading the sauna or backing their truck into your driveway.
    • Deliveries are typically made using an 18-wheel truck. Please ensure this size vehicle can access your road or neighborhood.
  3. Crate Size Considerations:
    • If the crate is less than 92” (7 feet), a lift gate may assist with unloading.
    • If the crate is more than 92”, no lift gate will be available. Customers must arrange for unloading.

Customer Responsibilities

  1. Responding to Delivery Calls: Return calls from the trucking company promptly to schedule delivery.
  2. Unloading the Sauna Crate:
    • Sauna crates vary in size and weight:
      • Length: 6 feet to 14 feet
